Colored wood canes are made of 19 layers of 1/16-inch dyed, laminated, hardwood boards colored and arranged in a pattern that is magnificent when given the Brazos™ twist. Each cane is individually made from the finest hardwoods. Each walking cane is handcrafted by our artisan craftsmen in Central Texas not far from the Brazos River. After the structural inspection, the raw wood blank is shaped on a lathe or a sander depending on the style of the cane. The cane handle is constructed next. Many of our models use a mortise and tenon handle construction.

Improve balance and mobility : As people age daily physical activities like walking become more difficult. This is especially true for veterans and retired police officers and firefighters, as they have endured a career of tough physical work. A cane or walking stick provides a walking aid that improves your balance and mobility. With a walking stick, walking becomes much easier, allowing retired veterans to remain active. Additionally, a walking stick forces you to move in an upright position and maintain good posture.
Walking sticks : Walking sticks vary in the material they are made of. Most are made from ash wood, branches of birch or hazel tree as well as Malacca canes and bamboos in the forest areas. Their hilts are like the inverted hockey sticks. Those made of aluminium have holes in the shaft to adjust the stick to the user’s convenience, while some are made in such a way that they can be folded when not in use.
Quad Canes offer the highest level of stability of all of the popular walking cane styles. The four-pronged base allows you to confidently walk across sloping, slick or unstable areas without worrying about your quad walking cane losing its traction. Browse these pieces to find large-base quad canes, small-base Cane with 4 Legs, and more. Each is carefully crafted of durable materials so you can feel confident that your purchase of a four legged cane will be a lasting one.
While standard canes are a great option for those in need of balance assistance, some users will find they need a bit more support. For these individuals, quad canes are the perfect option. A quad cane has four legs, and offers a wider base and greater stability when compared to single platform models. While other four pronged walking aids (e.g. standard walkers, wheeled walkers, etc.) may prove obtrusive for those with minor mobility/balance difficulties, quad canes strike a balance between too much assistance, and too little.
