Tricycle Specially For Disabled People

Tricycle  For Disabled People with disabilities have often been excluded from mobility and access opportunities.  Certainly, our public transport system has some way to go before it is even close to being accessible to everyone.  With cycling for people with disabilities becoming one of the fastest-growing areas of interest in the cycling world, it is likely that cycling with its versatile simplicity and low running costs will succeed in providing access where other forms of transport have failed.  Small-scale manufacturers are combining innovation with positive attitude and designing cycles that meet abilities.

“Most of the people who depend on these tricycles are daily wage workers who have to travel long distances every day. The regular tricycles have no suspension and the riders are prone to spinal injuries. Most of them also cannot
afford good medical care, and driving these tricycles for a long time affects their
back,” he added.

We have several bicycles for people who have a problem with cycling. We produce special bicycles, tricycles, tricycles for children, adult tricycles, tandems, side by side bikes, wheelchair bikes, wheelchair transport bikes, a walking aid and a bicycle for the transport of 8 children.

Benefits
  • Lower extremity strengthening
  • Reciprocal leg motion patterning
  • Balancing skills
  • Using visual, spatial perception for steering
  • Social interaction with peers and neighbors
Specifications

1.good quality and useful tricycle
2.for reasonable price

The most important requirements were:

Stability
The stability of the tricycle is very important for the safety of the user. This can be achieved by making the wheelbase wide enough and the center of gravity as low as possible but limited by the space needed for the legs of the user.

Driving comfort
The correct position of the propulsion handles is necessary for easy and comfortable driving.

Weight
Many existing tricycles are very heavy (more than 40 kg) which makes them difficult to drive. Due to the asymmetrical construction of this tricycle design, the weight is relatively low; around 30 kg.

Sitting comfort
The sitting comfort is important, especially for disabled people who have to sit for long periods of time. If the pressure on the buttocks is too high (due to a bad surface or a footrest which is too high) the blood circulation will be bad. For a comfortable seat the following dimensions are important: seat-depth, seat-width, back-height, armrest-height and footrest-height. The footrest is adjustable to the individual user. Cushions are important to avoid pressure sores on the driver's buttocks and springs will absorb shocks during driving.

Costs
Costs depend highly on local circumstances; material costs, labor costs, number of tricycles in the series, etc. They are intended, however, to be kept as low as possible.

Seat Widths and Depths
Seat widths for heavy duty wheelchairs will range from about 20" to about 30" depending on the model chosen.

Seat depths for heavy duty wheelchairs will range from about 18" to about 24" depending on the model chosen.

Seat Height
Seat heights on a heavy duty wheelchair range between 15" and 22" depending on the model chosen.

Back Height

I don't recommend air tires on a heavy duty wheelchairs because they can become soft fairly easily making the wheelchair difficult to propel.

Axle Plates
Axle plates are not common on heavy duty wheelchairs but there is at least one model that offers them as an option.

Brakes
Brakes for heavy duty wheelchairs are invariably conventional push to lock or pull to lock with several models offering brake extensions as options.

Armrests
Armrests can be full length or desk length, adjustable height or fixed height but normally will be removable.

Footrests
Heavy duty wheelchairs usually offer either 60° conventional footrests or elevating legrests but there are a couple of models which offer 70° or 80° versions.

Walking Stick help for Disabled People

Walking sticks are a great help for many disabled people, but would be largely useless without a ferrule. Don't underestimate the role of the little rubber cap that sits on the end of a stick.
Walking Stick?
It's the bung-like tip which fits on the end of a walking stick. Most are made of rubber. They grip the surface of the ground and allow you to lean your weight on your Walking Stick Feet Rubber with confidence.

Why need something on the end?
If there wasn't something there, you'd know about it. You might use an attractively carved stick but, if you are a bit wobbly or have pain when you move about and need it for support rather than as a fashion accessory, it's your ferrule which lies between standing up or falling flat on your face.

Variety of ferrules?
a stick-user with cerebral palsy, chooses to buy the kind which have bumps on the underside, even though she says they wear down very quickly.

"They give me the best cushioning and jar my body less when I'm walking down a street," she says.

The Stick and Cane Shop's biggest seller is one with a concentric circle grip, but others exist, some with no pattern and others which are much bigger to fit a heftier walking stick. They sell about 30 a week.

Need to replace them often?
Ferrules Walker Glide Caps for walking sticks are mostly made of rubber so degrade with use. The consensus amongst those we spoke to is that they typically last about six months, by which time they've worn fairly thin.

Urges fellow stick-users to check them often especially as the colder months approach, with fallen leaves then ice underfoot. "A worn-out ferrule can make for the worst kind of fall. Imagine putting all your 12st of weight on it and suddenly it doesn't work any more. You tend to land very heavily."

Lightweight Heavy Duty Wheelchair

A wheelchair can help you regain mobility lost due to an injury or chronic health condition. Depending on the size and ability of the user, a lightweight wheelchair or heavy duty wheelchair might be for daily use or as an aid when you need to go a distance farther or longer than you can comfortably walk or stand. Traditional self-propelled wheelchairs have two large rear wheels and a pair of smaller wheels in the front. Advances in design and materials have made different wheelchair models available to suit different needs and body types.

Lightweight wheelchairs are easier to maneuver as well as being easier to take on trips, when the wheelchair will be folded and stowed in a car trunk. Wheelchairs of all types typically support up to 250 pounds of body weight. For those with a higher weight, heavy duty wheelchairs, also called bariatric wheelchairs, provide a wider seat for comfort and stronger frame for durability and support.

Heavy-duty chairs offer wider seat widths and weight capacity up to 500-lbs. These are folding wheelchairs, shipped assembled ready to use right out of the box.The adaptive equipment is built with a carbon steel frame, extra heavy duty front forks, dual cross bars, reinforced side frame and steel gussets capable of holding up to 700 lbs. The frame has a chrome, chip-proof finish and the upholstery is reinforced making this an easy-to-maintain and durable wheelchair.

The mobility aid also comes standard with steel spoke wheels with chrome hand rims, extra large padded armrests for comfort, flat free 8" front casters and push-to-lock wheel locks. Footplates (sold separately).

Features
  • Extra heavy duty front forks
  • Extra large heavy duty aluminum tapered footplates provide maximum support and are attractive and crack proof (Must be ordered separately)
  • Extra large, contoured plastic armrests provide comfort and support
  • Footrests are tapered for comfort
  • Heavy duty, flat free 8" front casters are adjustable in 2 positions
  • Powder coated silver vein frame performance and reliability
  • Reinforced side frame, caster journals and dual cross bars
  • Reinforced steel gussets at all weight bearing points provide additional strength

Wheelchairs offer three particular benefits for patients who have limited to no ability to walk (or move).  Wheelchairs give patients more mobility.  When they have had their ability to move taken, these patients realize how precious the ability to get places is.  For this reason, wheelchairs offer patients more independence.  This gives them more confidence in themselves as well as more dignity.  Our wheelchairs are designed to offer the patient greater comfort.  With back support and comfortable seats, our wheelchairs allow patients to forget that they are seated.  We offer only the top of the line wheelchairs and accessories so you have a product you trust.

Wheelchairs provide variable mobility to people with various physical disabilities. There are four major types of wheelchairs: indoor, outdoor, combined and special. Ergonomics, or design of equipment to prevent injury, considers all physical and anatomical limitations of the users.A complete assessment may prevent future injury, and improve mobility.

Seat  Width

The width of the wheelchair seat is based on the users’ widest point, usually the hips or thighs. If shoulders are wide, consider the shoulder width when choosing a seat width. A too-wide seat leads to difficulty in mobility, inadequate support and discomfort. A narrow seat contributes to pressure sores, inadequate support and discomfort. It is important to have an exact measurement of the seat width for optimal mobility and environmental accessibility.

Seat  Depth

The seat depth is measured from the back of the pelvis to the back of the knee. Users with one leg longer than the other require both legs measured. Also, make sure the user is in a proper posture prior to all measurements. Subtract 1 to 2 inches from the measurements for optimal comfort.

Seat  Height And Angle

The distance of the seat from the floor needs to consider a ground clearance of foot rests at 2 to 3 inches. When using a seat cushion, its thickness needs to be considered in this measurement. Also, drop hooks lengths need to be subtracted. It is important to have knees at 90 degrees when the feet are placed on the ground.

Back  Height

The back height of the wheelchair is measured from the top of the seat cushion to the top of the back support cloth. Occupational therapists assess the height of the user, their balance needs, and their need for support in relation to the wheelchair. If the back height is too high a user will have limited arm and shoulder mobility. If the height is too low, the user has inadequate support resulting in fatigue and sliding.

Footrests  And Armrests

The footrest settings must accommodate the length of the users’ legs. A measurement is taken from the back of the knee to the heel. Shoes should be worn during the measuring. If the footrest length is high it leads to pelvic pressure, hip rotation and discomfort. Too low footrests result in thigh pressure, hip rotation and sliding.

Armrest height is measured from the seat surface, or cushion, to the elbow. During measurements the elbow is flexed at 90 degrees, the arms are comfortable at the sides, while the shoulders remain relaxed. Armrest width should accommodate the environment and assist in transfers to and from the wheelchair.

Tips For Accurate Use Blood Pressure Monitor

Blood pressure monitor you choose Take the device to your doctor or nurse to make sure the one you've chosen is the best fit for you and to learn how to use the monitor correctly and keep it calibrated so that it continues to give you accurate readings.

follow these tips to help ensure accuracy when you measure your blood pressure at home:

Check your monitor's accuracy-
Before using a BP monitor for the first time, have your doctor or nurse check its accuracy against the office model. Also have your doctor or nurse watch you use the device to see if you're doing it properly. If you drop the device or damage it, take it in to be checked before using it again, as it may no longer work properly.

Measure your blood pressure twice daily-
You should measure your blood pressure twice daily, once in the morning before you take any medications, and once in the evening. Each time you measure your blood pressure, take two or three readings to make sure your results are accurate. Your doctor may recommend you try to take your blood pressure at the same times of day each time you measure it. Always use your left arm when taking your blood pressure.

Don't measure your blood pressure right after you wake up-
You can prepare for the day, but don't eat breakfast or take medications before measuring your blood pressure. If you exercise after waking, take your blood pressure before exercising.

Avoid food, caffeine, tobacco and alcohol for 30 minutes-

before taking a measurement. Also, go to the toilet first. A full bladder can increase blood pressure slightly.

Sit quietly before measuring your blood pressure-
When you're ready to take your blood pressure, sit quietly for three to five minutes beforehand. Sit in a comfortable position with your legs and ankles uncrossed and your back supported against a chair. Try to be calm and not think about stressful things.

Make sure your arm is positioned properly when measuring-
Rest your arm, raised to the level of your heart, on a table, desk or chair arm. You may need to place a pillow or cushion under your arm to elevate it high enough. Place the cuff on bare skin, not over clothing. Rolling up a sleeve until it tightens around your arm can result in an inaccurate reading, so you may need to slip your arm out of the sleeve.

Don't talk while taking your blood pressure-
Take a repeat reading two to three minutes after the first one to check accuracy. You can wait as little as one minute in between your readings. If your Best BP Monitor In India doesn't automatically log blood pressure readings or heart rates, write them down in your own log.
Your blood pressure at home may be slightly lower than it is in a medical office, typically by about five points. For instance, a reading at home of 135/85 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) is about the same as 140/90 mm Hg at the doctor's office.

Blood pressure varies throughout the day, and readings are often a little higher in the morning. But contact your doctor if you have any unusual or persistent increases in your blood pressure. Also ask what reading should prompt an immediate call to the medical office. If your home reading shows that your blood pressure is higher than normal and you experience symptoms such as severe headache, chest pain, numbness, or tingling in the face or limbs, contact your medical office immediately or seek emergency treatment.

Electric wheelchairs are available in a wide variety of seat widths, depths and heights, and feature a number of armrest, legrest and seating options. Power wheelchairs allow users of every strength to control the electric wheelchair with a joystick, but higher end models offer a multitude of alternative control options – such as proximity switches, sip-n-puff, head arrays, infrared switches and magnetic angle sensors just to name a few. feature six wheels, including two rear anti-tip wheels
because they turn from the center like a top, they are considered the most maneuverable power wheelchair, even in tight spaces
the power base is usually separate from the seat and will accept any number of seating or power seating options, depending on wheelchair features

Rear-Wheel Drive Electric Wheelchair

excellent outdoor high-speed performance and maneuverability
some models incorporate a folding feature
base is separate from seat and can accommodate a variety of seating and power seating options

Blood Pressure Machines and It's Features

Public blood pressure machines, such as those found in pharmacies, may not be accurate. They may not have been properly maintained, and the cuff may not be the correct size for you, depending on the size of your arm. You shouldn't rely on public blood pressure machines to regularly measure your blood pressure.

Blood Pressure Machines Features to consider

Features on home blood pressure monitors can vary widely, from simple manual models to fully automated devices that allow you to send data to your doctor's office through your phone line or Internet connection. Here are some general features to consider when choosing a blood pressure monitor:

Blood Pressure Machines: Cuff size
Having a properly fitting cuff is the most important factor to consider when purchasing a home blood pressure monitor. Many monitors are available with different-sized cuffs to fit different-sized arms. Poorly fitting cuffs will not give accurate blood pressure measurements. Ask your doctor or nurse what cuff size you need.

Blood Pressure Machines: Display
The BP Machine display that shows your blood pressure measurement should be clear and easy to read.

Blood Pressure Machines: Stethoscope
If you get a monitor with a stethoscope, you must be able to place it correctly in your ears and to clearly hear the sounds through it. You must also know how to interpret those sounds something your doctor or nurse can teach you.

Blood Pressure Machines: Accuracy
Check with your doctor or the manufacturer to be sure the monitor has been validated, meaning its readings are accurate and repeatable. Only validated instruments can be relied on for accurate readings. You should bring your monitor to your doctor's office to compare the measurements your monitor gives you with the measurements taken at Blood Pressure Machine Price In India your doctor's office. Do this yearly to make sure your monitor is still working properly.

One way to choose an accurate monitor is to check the lists of validated home blood pressure monitors available from the Dabl Educational Trust and the British Hypertension Society. These organizations have tested many types of monitors and post their findings on their websites. Keep in mind, however, that if the monitor you use doesn't appear as a recommended monitor on the lists, it doesn't mean your monitor isn't effective.

Blood Pressure Machines: Cost
Your health insurance may not cover the cost of a home blood pressure monitor. Prices can vary from as little as Net Price Rs- 1470  for automatic devices that come enhanced with memory and electronic printout ability.

Checking your Blood Pressure Monitoring

Checking your blood pressure at home is an important part of managing high blood pressure. Find out how to use home monitors accurately.

Checking your blood pressure at home is an important part of managing high blood pressure (hypertension). The India  Heart Association and other organizations recommend anyone who has high blood pressure monitor his or her blood pressure at home. BP Monitor Price In India Home monitoring can help you keep tabs on your blood pressure in a familiar setting, make certain your medication is working, and alert you and your doctors to potential health complications.

Because blood pressure monitors are available widely and without a prescription, home monitoring is an easy step you can take to improve your condition. Before you get started, it's important to know the right technique and to find a good home blood pressure monitor.

Monitoring your blood pressure at home offers several benefits:

Help make an early diagnosis of high blood pressure-
If you have prehypertension, or another condition that could contribute to high blood pressure, such as diabetes or kidney problems, home blood pressure monitoring could help your doctor diagnose high blood pressure earlier than if you have only infrequent blood pressure readings in the doctor's office.
Help track your treatment-
Home blood pressure monitoring can help people of all ages keep track of their condition — including children and teenagers who have high blood pressure. Self-monitoring provides important information between visits to your doctor. The only way to know whether your lifestyle changes or your medications are working is to check your blood pressure regularly. Keeping track of changes can help you and your health care team make decisions about your ongoing treatment strategy, such as adjusting dosages or changing medications.
Encourage better control-
Taking your own blood pressure measurements can result in better blood pressure control. You gain a stronger sense of responsibility for your health, and you may be even more motivated to control your blood pressure with an improved diet, physical activity and proper medication use.

Cut your health care costs-
Home monitoring may cut down on the number of visits you need to make to your doctor or clinic. This can reduce your overall health care costs, lower your travel expenses and save in lost wages.

Check if your blood pressure is different outside the doctor's office-
Your doctor may suspect that your blood pressure goes up due to the anxiety associated with being at the doctor's office, but is otherwise normal  a condition called white coat hypertension. Monitoring blood pressure at home or work, where that kind of anxiety won't cause those spikes, can help see if you have true high blood pressure or simply white coat hypertension.

Home and workplace monitoring may also help when the opposite occurs — your blood pressure seems fine at the doctor's office, but is elevated elsewhere. This kind of high blood pressure, sometimes called masked hypertension, is more common in women and those who have cardiovascular risk factors, such as obesity, high blood cholesterol and high blood sugar.

There are two types of home blood pressure monitors:
Manual devices-
Manual blood pressure monitors use a stethoscope and an inflatable arm cuff connected by a rubber tube to a gauge that records the pressure. To measure your blood pressure, you inflate the cuff that goes around your arm by pumping a bulb at one end of the tube. You then check your blood pressure with a stethoscope listening to the sounds of blood flowing through the main artery in your upper arm as the pressure decreases in the cuff. Manual monitors are usually less expensive than digital monitors, but can be more difficult to use BP Monitor Price.

Digital devices-
Digital monitors have a cuff and a gauge that records the pressure. The cuff automatically inflates at the touch of a button. These devices automatically calculate heart rate and check your blood pressure by measuring the changes in the motion of your artery as the blood flows through the artery while the cuff deflates. Some even give you an error message if you aren't wearing the cuff properly. Digital monitors also deflate automatically.

Digital monitors can be fitted on the upper arm, wrist or finger. Arm devices are the most accurate. One use for wrist monitors is for those people for whom a large upper arm cuff is too small or can't be used because of shape or pain from the pressure of the cuff when it inflates. Be sure your arm is at heart level when using a wrist monitor. Devices that measure your blood pressure at your finger are not recommended.
Talk over the choices with your doctor or nurse so that you pick the monitor that's best for your situation.
